Universe & Planets is designed to work in classrooms. All content is written in plain language, cites its sources, and separates observation from theory.

  • Suggested lesson flow

    1. Open the homepage to introduce the eight planets.
    2. Assign one planet page per student or small group.
    3. Use the comparison tool to summarize as a class.
    4. Try the age or weight calculator as a math warm-up.
    5. Close with Tonight's Sky and an at-home observation task.

  • Accessibility

    All primary interactions work with a keyboard. Motion is reduced automatically when the operating system requests it. Color contrast meets WCAG 2.2 AA.
