About Universe & Planets

Universe & Planets is a modern educational astronomy site. Our goal is to make space science understandable and inviting for children, students, teachers, families, and curious adults — without oversimplifying or overstating what is known.

Every planet, moon, mission, and article is presented with citations to primary sources where possible. Time-sensitive information such as mission status includes the date it was last verified.

The site is built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. All astronomy calculations run in your browser using open-source libraries — nothing is sent to a server unless you explicitly do so.
