Learn astronomy visually
Infographics work because they compress a lot of relationships into a single glance. A size chart shows why Jupiter dwarfs every rocky planet. A branching diagram shows why the Sun will never explode as a supernova. A logarithmic scale shows why we cannot draw Mercury and Neptune on the same line at true proportions.
Some diagrams here compress distance or time to keep every element visible. Whenever a graphic is not to scale, we label it clearly and describe the actual values in the accompanying text. Every essential fact shown visually is also stated in accessible HTML below the diagram so the page remains useful without the image.
